Mountain Home renewed my faith in RV Resorts. We were escorted to our site where they reviewed the hookups and gave us a folder with all the pertinent information. The facilities our well maintained and staff are helpful. Only downside were our encounter with not so friendly dogs.
If you need a campsite with sewer hookups this campground or RV park offers them. Electric - Offers electric service to the sites. This electric service may be 20 amp, 30 amp, or 50 amp and may or may not be available at all campsites.
Carmela RV Park
We had our grandkids with us and they enjoyed the large paved sites and grass areas. We also liked the playground and swimming pool. The showers were over the top with private showers and restrooms. We are planning to go back and spend several days.
The strength and availability of wifi will likely vary but this park does provide some level of wifi internet service. Swimming - Offers swimming opportunities. Swimming may be available at a pool, a swim lake, in the river, or a dedicated swim area. If you are camping here bring the swim trunks along. Open - Open sky above your site. There are sites with no shade or obstruction offering an open sky setting for RV satellite tv signal or star gazing.
Sites
This place should be the poster child for RV parks of the future. One of the best parks we have stayed in anywhere period. We are considering coming back here as a summer destination. I wish this company could build 150 more parks like this across the country to relieve the site crunch we all deal with. We have stayed in enough campgrounds over the years, to know a great place.
We would recommend this campground to anyone staying in the area. We are return guests ~ several times; it’s one of the nicest rv parks on all of I-84 – but it’s not a campground believe they do not allow tents. Cooled by AC in summer months and heated during cooler months.

Some residents have definitely been here longer than the rules allow. Also, overflow in the middle has cords running from all over. Been to a number of military FamCamps but this one doesn't even rate a 1. Very disappointed because we had intended to stay here in Jul and do some sightseeing but not unless some drastic improvements occurs. We lived in military housing at 4-5 bases and this condition would not have been tolerated.
This RV park or campground is near an interstate. Laundry - Onsite laundry available for campers. If you need to do laundry while camping here there is a laundry. Additional fees may be necessary to use the laundry.
Trees - Trees are situated close to or around the campsites. These trees may be close enough to require care when maneuvering into and out of the camping spot. Cable - Offers cable tv service to the RV sites. There is no guarantee that the cable works, that you will get all the channels or that a digital box may or may not be needed. If you need cable tv at your campsite this destination might be a good choice.
No camp host available during low temps but the self pay center was very informative. No cable available, but you can explore so much here. Its a good little camp site to stay at for a little bit. We are in Mt Home getting warranty work done on our F-550 Super C. The RV wasn't available to us, so we didn't stay at the Mt Home FamCamp.
However, I had noticed some really negative comments, so I thought I'd see for myself. The last time we stayed here was late Sep 2006. We remembered the Fam Camp as being very nice. When we drove the Fam Camp this time in Oct 2022, it was atrocious.
What a wonderful, clean, quiet big rig park. We paid for 1 night and ended up staying 3 nights. Nice long level concrete pads with full hook-ups. Mountain Home RV Park in Mountain Home Idaho offers full hookup RV camping with paved roads and concrete parking pads. The nicely landscaped and maintained park is progressively more affordable the longer you stay . Sites include backins and pull thrus with some large enough to handle the biggest RVs on the road.
Was far enough away from the interstate you didn't hear much road noise. Did have a few trains going by in the distance. Nice pull through with plenty of room for our 31 foot plus CRV. The best private room shower with bathroom.
